Accident insurance

In connection with the conclusion of the SVL Sports cycling & triathlon one-day accident insurance (start-to-finish) you have the following advantages: accidents that happen during a cycling or triathlon race (inluding marathon, MTB, and RTF events) are explicitly included in the insurance cover.

Rescue costs

Non-contributory emergency and rescue costs up to the amount of 100.000 EUR. In case you stray from the route during descent and need to be rescued, the costs for the rescue mission may amount to tens of thousands of euros. Our insurance packages cover up to a maximum amount of 100.000 EUR.

Proper motion

Increased physical exertion / proper motion:
An accident shall also be deemed to have occurred when, as a consequence of increased physical exertion to limbs or extremities or the spine, a joint is dislocated or muscles, tendons, ligaments or capsules are stretched, strained or torn.

For example, when due to rapid acceleration you experience a rupture of the Achilles tendon, our insurance protection is activated although it is not a classical accident.

Infections

Infections through an accidental injury:
In general, infections where pathogenic germs enter the body as a result of accidental injuries, which are not excluded by clause 5.2.5.1, are covered.

Provided you suffer skin lesions and deeper wounds as a consequence of a crash, heavy contamination can result in infections. Our insurance packages cover such consequences.

Term
The time from the starting gun to crossing the finish line (accident protection only during the event / race).
Insurance premium
The one-time insurance premium amounts per person and per day to 6,00 EUR (incl. insurance tax) plus a processing fee of 3,00 EUR inclusive of statutory value added tax.
Basic disability cover
50.000,00 EUR

Benefits for full disability (model 225): 112.500,00 EUR
Emergency and rescue costs
Insurance sum: 100.000,00 Euro
- Search, emergency, and rescue missions following an accident, even when the insured did not suffer an accident, but an accident was immediately threatening or to be expected because of the specific circumstances.
- Return transport costs to permanent residence of the insured person.
- Costs for return journey / accomodation of accompanying minor children and of the partner in case of an accident happening abroad of the insured person.
- Expenses of the hyperbaric chamber in case of a diving accident.
- Funeral costs as an alternative to transport costs in case of an accident abroad.
